How many times a day do you have a bowel movement? Some people only have bm's 2-3 times a week. Is this you? In the US, it is not uncommon to go a couple of days without eliminating. What's even more unbelievable is that many doctors in the US will tell you it is normal and OK to eliminate only a few times a week!

Common sense indicates that this is abnormal. If you eat a minimum of 3 meals a day and only eliminate one meal a day, that means that 2 meals of undigested food (fecal matter) is piling up inside your colon. Imagine if your toilets were backing up every day! Your house would stink and be full of disease, viruses and bacteria! That is what is happening inside our bodies if we are not eliminating our meals regularly.

The medical profession is slowly becoming aware that the major cause of all illness in the US is from acid toxification and colon dysfunction.

WHY?
A healthy body has a healthy balance of Acid and Alkaline Ph. Natural foods (organic vegetables, fruits - unprocessed whole grains etc..) are predominantly Alkaline producing. We need these alkaline producing foods in order to insulate our organs from the naturally occuring acid in the body. Acid is an important component in our overall health, but too much acid is very harmful. When we become more acidic than alkaline, the acid backs up into our bodies and organs and we poison ourselves and become sick.
When too much acid producing food is constantly being forced through our colon, the intestinal walls begin secreting mucous to protect the lining of the colon from the acid (undigested food). This mucous becomes impacted against the wall of the colon and produces a rubber like substance which prevents nutrients from being digested and also prevents waste material from being excreted. Additionally, waste material sticks to this mucousy rubbery substance. The waste material continues to pile up inside the colon and starts to rot. This encourages the proliferation of harmful bacteria which start to spread thorughout the body causing infections.
Most of the food we eat in the US is acid producing. A typical US citizen dies with 20 - 40 lbs of impacted fecal material in the colon.
If you are not feeling well, start by cleaning the colon, then change your diet to more alkaline foods. Many people have found that this reduces or cures many of our rampant diseases.
